Bio

Although it wasn’t originally my plan to work in higher education, it was absolutely the right path for me, and I haven’t looked back since I started my career at EKU in 2008. Whether its helping students find their chosen career path and acclimating them to university life in my GSD classes, working with my peers to help foster student success, or advocating for our faculty, staff, and students in Institutional Equity, it’s my privilege to be part of an institution that works hard and strives for excellence. I’m an EKU grad (x2!) and I’ve been a Richmond resident since 1998. I’m married to Branden, my favorite person in the whole world, and we have two grown sons, Justin and Joseph, who make me proud every single day. I'm also a fur-mom to a chocolate lab named Mia, who keeps us all hopping!
