EKU Staff Council


The Staff Council is here to:

  • Foster communication and serve as a communication conduit between staff and the President
  • Provide recommendations on all matters pertaining to staff
  • Promote the welfare of all staff through professional development and formal recognition while serving the Mission of the University


The Staff Council, in conjunction with the Employee Recognition Committee, is now accepting nominations for Staff Emeritus candidates.

To recommend a staff member who is retired or is in the process of retiring, email a letter of nomination to

Nominations will be accepted through Aug. 3, and will be reviewed for eligibility as defined in the Staff Emeritus policy.

Nominators will then be asked to submit the required letters of recommendation as outlined in the policy.

Honorees will be recognized at the Staff Council luncheon in December.
