To recognize EKU’s valuable staff for all its hard work and dedication, the Staff Council would like to welcome Merril Hoge, a former NFL Star, ESPN analyst and cancer survivor to campus.

Congratulations to Mr. Bryan Makinen for being re-elected as our Staff Regent for 2015-2018.

Leah Banks, Library Specialist and EKU Staff Council President, began her career with EKU Libraries in September 2001, Banks, who has served on the Staff Council for the past four years, holds a bachelor’s degree in health education from EKU.

Board Approves Staff Emeritus Status for Four Retirees

Four recently retired staff members were approved by the Board of Regents for Staff Emeritus status. At its regular scheduled meeting on Oct. 28, the Board granted the honor to Beverly Burrus, Jim Fisher, Laura Melius and Katherine (Kate) Williams.
