EKU Employee Appreciation Event at Paradise Cove

On June 25, 2017 Staff Council hosted an EKU Employee Appreciation event at Lake Reba's Paradise Cove.  The event was a success as we had 218 guests.  We look forward to continuing this as a summer tradition. 

EKU Maroon Day

Friday, October 21, 2016 was EKU Maroon Day.  Faculty/staff/students were encouraged to show their pride and wear maroon for Homecoming.  EKU Staff Council held a photo competition to be judged for Colonel spirit in which approximately 25 photos were submitted.

Congratulate EKU's Staff Diversity Advocates!!

EKU’s Staff Council would like to introduce the Staff Diversity Advocates (SDA) for 2016/2017. After asking for volunteers for SDAs by EKU Today, there were 16 employees that volunteered their time and talents. Our SDAs will be ready in the fall to educate, mentor and assist with various diverse issues after completing their training.

Staff Council is excited to offer a new Professional Development opportunity called “Staff Talks." If you are familiar with the “Ted Talks," then you understand the concept behind “Staff Talks.”

Make No Little Plans: Vision 2020 Community Forum

Eastern Kentucky University updated the community and campus about the many ongoing and planned campus revitalization initiatives in a Town and Gown Vision 2020 Forum Tuesday evening, June 30, 6-8 p.m. at the EKU Center for the Arts. Dr. Benson was joined on the Center’s main stage by members of the President's Council, City, and County officials.
